We still have a little more than 2 months left of 2020, but it’s never too early to start hyping up books! It made me happy that there are A LOT of amazing books hitting the shelves in 2021, especially books by Asian authors. So here it is, a list of 21 books written by Asian authors that I can’t wait to get my hands on (sorted by release date) :
*note: this list feature books by Asian authors, but doesn’t necessarily mean the characters are also Asian (though most of them are!)
A Taste for Love by Jennifer Yen

What is it about? Pride and Prejudice featuring baking competition, where a girl found herself in the middle of matchmaking orchestrated by her mother
The Obsession by Jesse Q. Sutanto

What is it about? A stalker-ish love story (also this is the first time I found a book by Indonesian author who got published in US!)

The Infinity Courts by Akemi Dawn Bowman
Release Date : April 6th, 2021
What is it about? A girl found out that the afterlife has been taken over by virtual assistants
The Forest of Stolen Girls by June Hur
Release Date : April 20th, 2021
What is it about? A teen returns to her hometown to investigate the disappearance of her father–along with 13 other women

What is it about? No official summary yet, but it’s pitched as Pacific Rim meets The Handmaid’s Tale and features polyamorous relationship!
And that’s it! Obviously, there are a lot more amazing books coming out in 2021, so I’m going to post another most anticipated 2021 books list closer to the end of the year ❤

ahh I’m so excited for all of these – I think my top would have to be Infinity Courts just because I love Akemi Dawn Bowman’s books but She Who Became the Sun sounds so cool, why haven’t I heard of that yet??
